''Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes'' could cross $50M in its opening weekend

Rise of the Planet of the Apes scores a solid $19.8M  and is surpassing expectations.

The film is getting good buzz from most of the critics as Rotten Tomatoes declared the movie ''Fresh'' and many other critics have given it positive reviews.. Now, it seems that  it collected another $19.2M on Saturday, and it's expected to make between $53M-55M for the weekend. It was expected to earn $30M this weekend but it seems the movie truly is beyond our expectations. 

The Times named it as one of the best movies of 2011 so far. The film had a reported budget of $93M which is not a lot compared to The Green Lantern and Thor's budget but it still is becoming very successful even though its not in 3D like most high end films of this era.
