Highest earner in Hollywood : ''Leonardo DiCaprio''

Two actors who began their careers playing mostly androgynous characters in low-budget art films but who went on to star in huge blockbusters are now the highest-earning actors in Hollywood, according to Forbes magazine. Leonardo DiCaprio tops the list with an estimated $77 million earned between May 2010 and May 2011, while Johnny Depp, who topped the list last year with $75 million, dropped to second place with about $50 million.


 “Both actors have achieved wealth and fame by making some unusual choices with their careers,” the magazine observed. Forbes‘ estimates are based, it said, on discussions with agents, lawyers, producers and other industry insiders and represent pretax gross income before payment of management, agent and attorney fees. While versatility has paid off for DiCaprio and Depp, sticking to a familiar character put Adam Sandler on the Forbes list at No. 3 with $40 million. “As long as Sandler sticks to playing a stunted adult his films are huge hits,” it noted. “But when Sandler strays his films tend to flop.”

Laurence Fishburne to play Perry White in ''Man Of Steel''

Lois Lane and Clark Kent just got their boss: Laurence Fishburne will play Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White in ''Man of Steel'', EW has learned exclusively. White has traditionally been a hard-charging, old fashioned newspaperman, who relies on his ace reporters, Clark and Lois, to get the big scoop. Jackie Cooperplayed White in the Christopher Reeve era Superman films, and Frank Langellatook on the role in director Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns in 2006.

The casting resolves the question of what Laurence would be up to after leaving CBS’ long-running CSI this May after just over two seasons. (Ted Danson will take Fishburne’s place on the show this fall.)

The Superman reboot, produced by Christopher Nolan and directed by Zack Snyder, stars Henry Cavill as Clark (a.k.a. Superman), Amy Adams as Lois, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. David Goyer (Batman Begins) is penning the script. ''Man of Steel'' is due to begin filming this fall, and is slated for release on June 14, 2013. (Reporting by Jeff Jensen)

Bol is about a family in poverty and trying to make ends meet. The movie deals with this family’s problems and how every member of the family reacts to them, including some contradicting decisions and some unfortunate situations.

Review
Dark of the Moon is the third installment of the Transformers franchise. The movie is far more successful in its action seqeunces and its humour compared to the second installment Revenge of the Fallen but it lacks the charm of the first film in the franchise.


I liked how the movie used the Apollo landing as a part of its story, like in Forrest Gump. However there were so many characters that were extremely thinly written. John Turturro's character was definitely not needed and some of the dialogue was incoherent and very messy, at times. The movie is also way too long, at 157 minutes, wow. I thought the last scene with Megatron was completely rushed and so was the ending. Although the last hour of the film is pretty epic at times, so I was fulfilled with the visual effects.
 
The one thing in this movie that i missed was Megan Fox who was replaced with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Although she was not as bad as we think , Megan Fox had more chemistry with Shia Labeouf and this would have elevated the movie even more. But still it is a must see movie for all those explosive and metal crushing action lovers out there and to enjoy it even more one must watch it in 3D.

Review
In my opinion the general audience are going to love this movie.Everything in this movie is exceedingly better than what Fox delivered in their last two efforts with this franchise. Going back to the beginning and re-hiring the guy that brought us those films was a splendid idea. The acting here is superb and the dialogue is rich. Every character feels absolutely believable no matter what abilities they have on display. No cartoonish villains or cheese in sight, every side of the issue is presented by people who believe they are the ones who are in the right and the underlying message of tolerance and bigotry only add to the depth of this film. If not a genre-defining movie than maybe it redefines the comic book genre. It restores the sense of epic adventure and grand-scale storytelling that we saw in X2. In fact, it perfectly complements that great film and probably surpasses it.


All of the Actors were extraordinary but Michael Fassbender delivers the best performance with an amazing presence and command of the screen.It won't surprise anyone to know that Kevin Bacon, Oliver Platt and Jennifer Lawrence are superb in supporting roles but Nicholas Hoult did stunning work as the Beast and deserves some love as well. January Jones and Rose Byrne are hot as can be but aren't just simple eye candy. Surely the movie was superb and the compelling story and great performances elevates it above any ordinary summer film.

'Cowboys & Aliens' grabs No. 1 spot over 'Smurfs'

This sci-fi thriller grabbed the No.1 spot over The Smurfs by a narrow margin.


Estimates had the two movies in a tie for the No.1 spot at $36.2 million each. According to final studio counts Monday, the sci-fi Western took the N o.1 spot on the domestic charts with a $36.4 million debut while  The Smurfs finished at No. 2 with $35.6 million over opening weekend.


Last week, box-office analysts had expected Cowboys & Aliens would be the clear winner over the weekend  but the Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford action thriller opened weaker than expected while on the other hand The Smurfs had a much stronger debut than anticipated.
